HandsOn Greater Richmond is looking for volunteers to help clean-up one of the neighborhood elementary schools.

Register now to help clean Woodville Elementary:

Much attention has been paid lately to the physical state of the Richmond City Public Schools. The community has expressed interest in helping the schools and we’re working with RPS to help them identify and address need and effectively mobilize volunteers.

Woodville Elementary school in the East End serves a neighborhood with a high concentration of public housing. The school only has a small janitorial staff and the Principal would appreciate help to deep clean and get into the corners and address the areas that aren’t always a priority. Their goal is to teach kids to respect the school, grounds, and their community, and having a clean and tidy school will help with that.

Volunteers will clean and scrape scuffs, tape and marks from walls and cabinets, clean corners and high traffic areas, and work on special cleaning projects as they arise. This is a 3 month pilot from April-June. This is a family friendly project.
