Thank you all for playing along 🙂
The churches with vacant properties piece was my favorite to write, because I want so badly for this to be true.

You might be on to something with the Quickness drone delivery. Maybe not today or tomorrow but it’ll happen 😉
Really well done this year, thanks John!
Delightful!
Ugh, I totally fell for it too!
Aww damnit, I legitimately got got on the church house donation post!
You certainly played to what many of us want to be true. Well done!
Love this!! Too funny! You didn’t get me this year but I still haven’t lived down believing the one about the chicken coop co-op in Chimborazo Park a few years ago.
ha.
John Boy,
There are few things (& Folks) in Life that you can count on without fail. Your Annual Aprils-For-Fools is the kind of whimsical f_ckery that feels like a cross between a fresh spring breeze, and a kick in the backside.
God Bless You for bringing humor to our day, when so little lightheartedness is to found out here amongst the fracas.
You had me completely fooled until the post office bit. Hilarious!! *slow-hand clap*
I’m mad at you
You got my hopes up thinking that the churches had come to their senses.
Funny, you are such a comedian! Such jocularity, My favorite was Morrissy losing his bid for CHA President! Well done John!!!
Specifically on the churches-hoarding-land story, I know it was in jest, but clearly it’s an issue that many in this area feel strongly about. Perhaps it’s my naivety, or just the fact that I’ve only called this neighborhood home for ~7 years, but have folks tried to address this from a community perspective? I know often times it’s easy to overlook or ignore an individual or small group of folks, but if we came together as a whole, perhaps enlisting the help of local media, we could better shine a light on this issue? I’ll hang up & listen.
HA!… and here I was thinking that the prank was that the condos in Nolde were priced as high as $205,000.
