Shooting of teen ruled self-defense
04/29/2015 5:50 PM by John M
The Richmond Police Department, in consultation with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, has ruled the fatal shooting of Alex Jackson in Creighton Court last month as justified.
At approximately 12:23 a.m., March 27, RPD officers were called to the 2100 block of Creighton Road for a report of a shooting. At that location, they discovered Jackson’s body lying on the ground outside a residence.
After a thorough and complete investigation, it was determined that the fatal shot was fired in self-defense. The adult male who shot Jackson will not be charged.
A second adult male, who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the incident, has been released from the hospital.
Thank goodness that the shooter was african american. Otherwise we might have our own Baltimore on our hands…..
Does anyone know th specifics of why it was self defense? In this case it sounds that this kid was threatening the shooters life, therefore he shot him. Sad story when someone dies, but at least no one else will be hurt/harmed/dead from this perp.
Leave race out of it you guys you cant end racism if you keep talking about it
