Kids BMX racing bikes stolen on 32nd Street
06/16/2015 1:05 PM by John M
Contact Tish if you know where these bikes are:
Our kids BMX racing bikes were stolen last night from my van on 200 block of N. 32nd St.
One is a purple micro mini race bike for a 4~5 yr old size and the other is a red MCS mini race bike for 5~6 yr old. They have kids racing tires on so it would be hard for anyone to ride on the streets.
Any information would greatly be appreciated – 804-687-2898.
A neighbor called this morning and said he saw kids riding these around the Citgo, tracks and Fulton apartments yesterday. Please keep a look out. – Thank you!
I was driving home around 9pm last night on Jennie Scher Rd and passed a bike on the side of the road. Remembering this CHPN post, I turned around, parked, and looked at the bike – it looked a lot like the purple bike, but not enough for me to take it (it had old/worn stickers all over it, different tires, and a very worn seat and handle bars). It might still be there, if you want to drive by it – it’s located between the railroad tracks and E Richmond Rd, across the street from where the poor mother’s body was found.
@1, maybe you could go down and look at the BMX track, but not by yourself – would Lt. Dan maybe go with you? Or another officer?
The purple bike has been found. Someone ditched it in the back of one of the CHAT trucks sometime Tuesday morning, and Tish is picking it up now. No sign of the red bike on this block.
Thanks to all the shares and updates. We have the purple bike back. Very much appreciated – great neighbors!
@#3, We race at the BMX track – a truly great organization – and they are all on the look out for the bikes down there as well. Thanks!
