Necessary Recycling setting up shop on R Street

The former Ruth’s Beauty Shop at 29th and R Streets will be the future home of Necessary Recycling, one of last year’s SEED grant winners. The company is currently sharing space with Chocolate’s By Kelly on North 29th Street, but hopes to be in their new spot by sometime this autumn.

One of the biggest jobs for the three employees was making 5,000 in-ear headphone cases for Future Sonics, a professional audio and consumer earphones company.

For such a large order, the company had to hire part-time workers from around Church Hill. […]
