Robbery on Broad Street

On 06-26-15 at approximately 1:15 pm officers and detectives responded to investigate a robbery in the 3400 block of East Broad Street.

Two males were doing construction work on a residence in the block and were approached by an older black male suspect. The suspect asked the two workers did they have any work to be done on the home. Both males stated that they didn’t need any assistance and the male left the area on foot. Shortly after the victim was downstairs and his coworker was upstairs.

The black male suspect came back to the home asking for a sheet of paper to write something on. The victim turned to assist the male and noticed the suspect holding a small, dark colored handgun, possibly a revolver in his hand. The suspect stated to be quiet and give me your wallet. The suspect took the victims currency and fled the scene on foot.

Detectives, officers and K-9 units circulated the area. The suspect has not been located at this time. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 45 to 50 years of age, wearing a grey t-shirt and black pants and armed with a handgun. The handgun appeared to be a revolver with chipped paint on it.
