A confederate monument AND a christian church!?! Could there be a more hateful neighborhood flag?! 😉
Hah. They mean well, I realize, but at 3×5′ there’s too much detail in the design and the font is hard to read. Often what works in print doesn’t work in outdoor media.
Too bad someone didn’t think about including a shadow image of a cyclist riding up the path – not only would it help to liven up the overall graphic, it would offer an element of today and tomorrow to a very yesterday flag.
I think that this is a lovely community gesture and look forward to seeing them around the area. Great work, CHA.
I would like to know the price?

Two sizes:
$30 – 2’x3’
$20 – 12″x18″
This is beautiful!!! Can’t wait to proudly display mine and I hope to see many on the Hill!
Someone didn’t watch the Ted talk about design…
(Makes a great poster though)!

To those who are critical of this flag: This is the winner of the flag contest for our neighborhood. Where was your entry? If you don’t want to buy one, don’t, however, criticizing something meant to show pride in our neighborhood is not productive or kind.
Um, no need to get angry, Liz. I think we are all on the same Church Hill pride train! Perhaps it is precisely why “we/those of us” are being particular. No doubt this was done well as a design, but it doesn’t mean it’s flag material. I am certain we would all love nothing more than a bad ass flag flapping in the wind displayed proudly on our houses, where all other neighborhood residents come in and say ” Damn! Church Hill rocks the nation”… seeing ‘our flag’ printed on coffee cups, shirts, stickers, etc…making our mark on RVA.
Did you even you watch the TED talk? TED talks, they know what they are doing there…usually inspiring us to be better at what we do…and sometimes that means being critical to burst new things into life.
Churchill flag round two = church+hill+rainbow!
You can always fly a Bluecoup flag for world solidarity.
Is there any way to still get a small flag and stand?
