Dana, is the ground that soft there? I ask because I don’t know. There use to be roads you could drive through it at one time. Hopefully they will check for stability before placing it there and, is it still close to the road where a drunk can swerve and crash into it? I would think closer to the middle where I believe an older one was once would be better?
Seriously Folks??!!
Are there going to be naysayers/hater’s against simply putting in a (beautiful) fountain?! C’mon folks, there are SEVERAL neighbors and etc. of the Park that have put in significant and ongoing efforts to clean up, maintain and beautify Jefferson Park. I (& others) have been patiently waiting for quite some time for this fountain to come to fruition. There have been several unavoidable delays, but a sustained effort for it to finally arrive. How’s about focusing your negativity onto something actually deserving? And yes, I know there’ll be hater’s responding to my plea as well…
Fountain-ing well is the best revenge. Libbie and Chimbo parks can kiss our grass.
So… it’s not in the circle?
@Cadeho. No. It’s not in the circle. Why would anyone want to enjoy a water fountain or gather around to get married on a beautiful Saturday in a traffic circle? There are plans to beautify the traffic circles and the triangle pocket park.
