Fundraiser for family of Anthony Addison
09/12/2015 11:50 AM by John M
A fundraising effort has been launched to help the family of Anthony Addison, one of the young men killed this past week in Mosby:
On 9-9-15 a mother’s worst fear happened. A senseless act of violence now a family is without a son and left to grief and find strength to go on. I have a son and can only imagine the pain his mom, my uncle and his siblings are feeling. No parent should have to bury their child.
Black lives matter when another race is involved but what about when were killing our own.
I’m asking for donations to help my family to ease some pain i know it wont bring him back but it will begin the healing process giving him a proper burial.
What about some funding for the 6 year old shot by Anthony Addison 2 years ago? I’d donate to that.

Oh, wow.
Interesting. Definitely not contributing to that.
Its fine if you don’t donate. And yes it is disheartening to know that Anthony was a part of something like that. But all the same, a mother has lost her son and a family is grieving. Let us not become so jaded and accustomed to death, that we do not also mourn the loss of human life.
To be fair the final disposition on his charges related to the 6 year old being shot was Nolle Prosequi. As a matter of fact he seemed to receive that verdict often
10/3/2013 USE FIREARM IN FELONY 1ST OFF
10/3/2013 ATTEMPT – MURDER: 1ST DEGREE
03/17/2015 ROBBERY: RESIDENCE
03/17/2015 USE FIREARM IN FELONY 1ST OFF
03/17/2015 VIOLENT FELON POSS/TRAN WEAPO
All Nolle Prosequi. Too bad for weak evidence.
Are you kidding me? A fundraiser for someone charged with one count of attempted murder of Ernesha Baites?
How about no.

Responsibility to the responsible, that is all.
@8… neighbor. What you’re saying makes far too much sense. It will immediately be rejected by the bleeding heart enablers up here.
My condolences go out to the family for their loss. That being said, it seems this young man (and he was a man, despite using what appears to be a pretty outdated picture) wasn’t exactly an upstanding citizen. Asking for financial donations given his history just seems like a poor choice.
It’s the Principle. A life was lost!! I’m not here to justify that the life he was living was right but at the end of the day No Mother should Everrrrrrr Have to feel that pain. We all have a past, we were just lucky enough to make it through. Maybe we had a little more guidance than him. You don’t know what this young man endured as a child that resulted in his behavior in adulthood. Stop throwing shade if you don’t know the situation. It’s sickening. I’m sorry that happened to that little girl and I’m glad she wasn’t seriously injured. The article I read about it stated that they weren’t sure if the bullet came from him or the other shooter. You people need help , posting his criminal history isn’t solving or proving any point. He’s Gone! Let him Rest in Peace. He’s already answered to God and he Has the final Say !
Just want the full story to be told here. Life’s full of choices..high school is free, everybody has a chance.
My friend grew up very poor in a single wide trailer. Got beat on by her father who slung dope out the back door. She’s a pharmacist now…with a ton of loans but never the less, a pharmacist.
I have no sympathy for the opportunity and environment argument.
This is perhaps the saddest comment thread I’ve ever read. Race, environment and access to opportunities means so much in this world. But, unfortunately, often times only the underprivileged and minority races see that. We love to praise the kids that breakout; that succeed despite their circumstances but are then quick to dismiss and undervalue those that succumb to their environment. I knew Anthony. He was funny, charismatic and kind. For sure he did some effed up stuff but all the same I’m sad at his passing, as are many others. And I’m sure they’d be heartbroken to see things said of him. He no longer has a chance at redemption or better life. He is dead. Let us be sensitive to that. There is to be no hope on humanity, or forward development if we do not have a place for sympathy, love and grace in our hearts.
On that note, I’m shutting this one down for a while.
