Seeking space for a non-profit recording studio and record label

03/24/2016 10:39 AM by

Elizabeth Moritz from Seven Hills Studio is seeking a location in the East End to house a non-profit recording studio and record label.

Her husband Jay Moritz, one of the all-time good guys, passed in February after a battle with cancer. Among other things, Jay was a noted local bass player in bands such as Brainworms, Little Master, and Snacktruck.

“[The studio] seems like a really good tie-in for all things Jay, all his friends who love music, and love him,” explains Elizabeth. Proceeds from Moritz Music will go towards cancer research.

Elizabeth has been looking for a location to house the studio, but has not found the space yet.

“I know that there are a lot of hidden gems up here, that haven’t hit the market yet – maybe something people are holding onto for the right type of development,” she says.

If you know of a good available building in the area, contact Elizabeth at Seven Hills Studio.

Keep an eye on Gentleman Jay for updates on the project.
