FYI: Moving the site to new host today
05/04/2016 3:12 PM by John M
I’m moving CHPN over to a new host today. Maybe you won’t notice, maybe you will.
Lemme know below if you see anything obviously busted.
The “RECENT COMMENTS” are going to be disabled for a little while, though everything else *should* be good to go.
TAGGED: chpn
Your posting time looks to be in a different time zone – it says that your post went up at 3:12 pm but it’s currently 2:40 pm here in the RVA. Everything else seems to be intact!
Good catch!
URL at the top is also not reading chpn.net – it looks like numbers/an IP address.
@Elle – that should clear up by tomorrow
If you click “Previously” under “More Headlines” on the home page, it just sends you to /news/2016/. It doesn’t actually show any other headlines.
good one
My page opened up to a story from 2014 about fireworks. The side comments section though is up to date
huh, that’s a stumper
@7, 8 So did mine.
Mmmmm well I’ll give it a few days and see what happens.
My page also opened to the same story as Liz. But I closed and it reopened fine. The Visitors Guide to Church Hill picture on the left takes you to a post about a visiting artist.
I have the same problem, I hit refresh and it opened up to the story about fireworks. However, the side comments seem to be up to date, but I haven’t checked them all yet. Really weird.
Great catches, all of y’all. Thanks for the proof reading 🙂
All seems to be in place and working for me.
I’m no longer getting a mobile friendly site when visiting from my smartphone (iPhone 6). I have to zoom in on everything and it’s kind of a pain (didn’t have to do this before today).
Working fine this morning!!
@kevin – I should be able to hook that back up later today
@John M, any luck with that dynamic site hookup?
tomorrow I hope 🙂
John, do you know if we can we disable the CHPN mobile version when using Chrome or Safari on an IPad?
I just flipped the switch on that, you should be good to go
