Missing this dog?
06/05/2016 6:00 PM by John M
This dog turned up around 5:30 today
He might be hurt, sitting by back fenceHe is grey medium large
TAGGED: pets
Can you perhaps check on him, to see his status? You can call racc, if he is injured or lost. 804.646.5573.
I would encourage you to call Richmond Animal Care and Control, especially if you think the dog may be injured. This is the number listed for weekends and after hours emergencies: (804)646-5123
In my opinion, the best thing you can do for a loose and/or injured dog is to get them help as quickly as possible to ensure their safety, which often means calling animal control as awful as it sounds. It also helps to ensure the safety of others, as even the nicest animal can be unpredictable when injured. I have had very positive experiences with Richmond Animal Control and would always want someone to call them if my (super un-street wise) dogs got loose.
He was running all around Montessori today. We tried to catch him, but he’s skittish. I’ve left food and water out in case he returns. Probably 8-10 month old emaciated puppy.. looks like a pit/mastiff mix w/docked ears. Probably 60 pounds but in the 80 pound size range.
He’s not injured. He’s thirsty and tired as shit in this heat.
This is a photo of Mr. Biggs, the dog mentioned in the Facebook link in #2 above.

Dog had been identified!
I think it’s a different dog. The dog in the pic is gray/blue and appears to have badly cropped ears
