TWELVE years ago yesterday this site launched with a story about a new coffee shop on Jefferson Avenue. Twelve years, 10,133 posts, 102,643 comments, and a couple of logos later, this site has succeeded way beyond my initial hopes.

The community involvement makes CHPN a model for the other community blogs that have come up over the years, and foreshadowed the connections that Facebook and Nextdoor would come to offer. It has definitely been a particularly dynamic time to chronicle the day-to-day here in the East End and online.

All of you who comment, share articles, share info to be posted, and support the site through advertising make CHPN the living, thriving environment that it is, and for that I thank you.
