Woman found dead on Jennie Sher Road

One person is dead and another person is injured after an incident at an apartment complex on Jennie Scher Road early Thursday morning.
Richmond Police say the injured man had been shot around 12:30 a.m. That victim told police about another victim in a nearby apartment.
When police arrived to the scene, they found a woman who was dead. Police say that victim’s injuries were so extensive they could not confirm if she had been shot.
This is the 12th homicide in the East End in 2016, matching last year’s talley at this date. 2015 ended with 14 homicides.
I can’t wait til the holidays are over. This time of year always brings desparate violence. It’s hard focus on good stuff when so many people are getting hurt/ killed.
Jennie Scher Road Homicide Victim Identified
Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in a homicide that occurred this morning in the Fulton neighborhood as Tychelle Johnson, 25, of the 1400 block of Jennie Scher Road.
At approximately 1:38 a.m., officers were called to the 1500 block of Jennie Scher Road for a report of a person shot. Officers found Johnson’s body inside the residence. She had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound was also located. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are actively pursuing all available leads in the case and continue to gather information about the incident.
