Reid gets almost 200 years for 2015 abduction and shooting

Frank E. Reid was given a a 195-year sentence yesterday for a November 16, 2015 spree that racked up 14 felony charges (included attempted capital murder of a police office, carjacking, and abduction) before ending with a crash and several shootings at 25th and R streets.

Russ Turner, a senior analyst at the BrownGreer law firm in Rocketts Landing, and Orran Brown Jr., senior counsel at the firm, were on their lunch break Nov. 16, 2015, when Reid approached them at a gas station on East Main Street and asked for money. When they told him they didn’t have cash, Reid pulled a gun, got into the back seat and forced them to drive to a bank down the street, according to their testimony.
