Hill Topper 5K route map and temporary street closings
From the Hill Topper 5K group:
This is just a friendly notice from several of your neighbors that we’ll be hosting a 5K race/walk, The Hill Topper 5K, in the Church Hill neighborhood on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 9:00 AM as part of the Church Hill Irish Festival. The event is a fundraiser for the Robinson Theater Community Arts Center and the Rotary Club of Church Hill. It also aims to help promote and celebrate our beautiful neighborhood.
We’re reaching out to you since your residence is located very close to the course, and we wanted to give you ample notice of any potential disruptions to automobile traffic in the immediate area. Several off-duty Richmond Police officers will be temporarily blocking several key intersections along the course. Additionally, we will have volunteers serving as race course marshals to temporarily block traffic at other, more minor intersections. We anticipate the event will last about one hour, however the window of time for the temporary closing of each intersection should be much smaller. Once all runners and walkers have passed through the intersection, that section of road will be opened again to automobile traffic. Additionally, if there are any significant gaps between runners and walkers, automobile traffic will be directed through on a case-by-case basis. All emergency vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances, and on-duty police cruisers) will be allowed to pass without delay.
The map [ABOVE] provides information regarding the course route, and the locations where both Richmond police and volunteer course marshals will be temporarily blocking traffic.

Jefferson and the park closed sound like if 25th is closed people boxed in have to use Leigh st via duct???
The runners will only be using one lane and course marshals will be there to allow cars enter safely.
An awesome race and an awesome course. I think you’ll find the actual amount of time the road is closed will be very minimal.
This has never been a traffic problem and has been a great asset to the community. I live on the course and cheer everyone. Have a great run!
