You out there with the saxophone last night?
07/04/2017 7:50 AM by John M
Anyone else woken up by the loud saxophone at 3 am? They’re not bad, just poor timing. I’m near 25th and R.
When I lived near 23rd & Fairmount, there was a guy (“Sir Sweet”) who lived behind me for a while who used to start drinking and playing saxophone around 6 or 7, would play until after midnight. Haven’t seen him around the area since the boarding house he ran on 25th burned a few years ago. That’s all I got.
I found the perpetrator: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GaoLU6zKaws
When we were living off 35th Street, we just to hear a guy play his tuba every night.
David M. Bailey you been saxin in the middle of the night again?
Lol!
He/she’s back . . . not that the musician is likely to be reading this, but PLEASE STOP WE WANT TO SLEEP. I wish I knew who it was so we could plead our case in person 🙁 We can hear it through the earplugs.
This – no joke – needs to stop. Third night in a row waking us up. What is up with this dude? So inconsiderate! I wish I knew what to do about this, any suggestions people?
If the playing goes on after midnight, then you can call the police about the noise ordinance but if it is before, not much can be done.
I have called the police but he hides or something from them, then starts up an hour later. So frustrating
I wish I could go talk to him or something, but 2 am is a bit too late to go out
Actually I think the noise ordinance kicks in at 10 p.m., call the cops.
@10 crd… nope. It is midnight per: Noise Ordinances (Richmond Code §38-31, §38-32) outside the hours of 7AM-MIDNIGHT.
