Can you guys see how the violence has spread outside of Mosby totwp of the other projects? Fairfield is next. Only a matter of time. They are two blocks away from creighton
Sounds like it was a drive by this time, so that wouldn’t have likely been very helpful.
How very sad.
Always better to be safe then sorry
It’s a little frustrating when I see the comment counts for stories/posts like this and notice that they seem to generate much less interest than almost any other type of story/post on CHPN. But it makes no sense to “like” something terrible like this on Facebook and I also know that I rarely comment on them because I don’t feel like I have anything constructive to say.
I wonder if CHPN has any numbers/info on how many people at least read articles about shootings/violence/issues that affect the lower income areas of the neighborhood/etc. Obviously, we shouldn’t start with a conclusion and try to prove it, but it would be nice to know that the folks that comprise the audience for CHPN are concerned, even if some of them have idea what to say or do about these kinds of issues (or if they just aren’t discussing it here, specifically).
@Lee What can you say about an issue that has plagued the east end, for as far as I know, since the 80’s? I remember in the 80’s, as a little boy, living on the corner of P/25th street, when that part of church hill was all black, I used to see the same thing that is currently going on now. Fights, people being stabbed, shootings, etc. I watched all of that take place in the east end/churchill in the 80’s, as a little boy. Really, there’s nothing else to say, that’s already been said, and most of the people who’re involved in these crimes don’t care what we have to say anyway, to be honest.
