Oh my…
That’s people poop.
condoms, burned spoons, needles, pee pee cups – seen daily on morning runs around Church Hill..
But one thing tops it by far – man pooping in the middle of the street (S and 33rd just after you pass the total druggie sleeping on the bus stop – daily). Thought of offering him a doggy bag to scoop?
But turned in the first available street before passing.
Grow up, it’s okay. Dogs have been doing it for millions of years.

@5 I agree with your comment except that dogs are only 20K yrs old as species, but you are right on the first part of your comment! Let’s Rewrite it and share credit:

The general comments here suggest people have given up on standards of civility. “Oh, well, it’s Church Hill, and by the way, dogs have been doing it for millions of years!” Yes, dogs have pooped on the ground since time immemorial, but that does not mean you have to live amongst outdoor filth just because you live in Church Hill.

When it rains, dog poop will run off, making its way down the storm drains eventually landing in the James River! The City of Richmond has a program that targets dog poop and other pollutants that affect the water quality of the James. This program actively educates children in the public schools, as well, participating in community events! So when your dog poops and you pick it up, it makes a difference in our environment!
