Power Outage on the Hill
01/14/2018 7:09 AM by Jacob C.
Just a short while ago a large section of the Hill lost power. If you’re included make sure and report outages at Dominion Outage Center or call 866-366-4357.
Outage map shows that over 3k customers are affected and estimated restoration will be between 8a and Noon.
You can also follow Dominion on Twitter at @domenergyva
Update: Over 1800 folks are still without power. As some of you have reported, looks like a 2:00 to 6:00 P.M window. Remember, to drip your pipes! If they have frozen, check out this tip from John M.
Update: looks like it’s all good again. Careful with the brownouts, if your appliances are acting funny, turn off or unplug computers, phones, and other electronics to prevent damage caused by inadequate voltage.
TAGGED: Dominion Power
Power out at Farm Fresh too
If you know anyone on oxygen, might want to stop by and make sure their tanks are full. I hope the dialysis center didn’t lose power.
The number listed on the chpn page is a sex talk line. Dominion’s outage number is 866-366-4357.
Anyone know why?
Ours just came back on!
Ooops, that’s funny
Anyone know what time it went out?
That means no it heat in a lot of homes, this winter will not be forgotten
Blown circuit
Power back on at about 8:15!!
Yeah, at first I was like "Man, Dominion REALLY wants me to enjoy my customer experience."
Guess we last on list
When I called when it went out at 0607, they said it was a blown circuit breaker
I called at around 0605, so sometime around then.
Cate Cummings thank you!
Just wanna chime in and say Sub Rosa Bakery is wood-fired and open! That means warm + coffee + bread. Its usually my powers out solution!
Reminder: when a traffic light is completely out, treat it as a four-way stop.
Going on 5 hours and still no power. Sucks that this happened on the Sunday of MLK weekend. Sucks even worse that it’s freezing outside too. Stay warm everyone.
Still waiting on 26th and M
power has not been restored yet as of 11:45 am at CVS / Farm Fresh and many traffic signals including area surrounding Jefferson Park
The website now reports it’ll be fixed between 2-6pm.
Is 12 hours enough time for pipes to freeze!?
Dominion’s website blames an “equipment problem” and estimates power will be restored between 2 and 6.
Still no power on 23rd and cedar
Now they’re saying between 2 and 6.
Mortifying. One digit! We fixed it hours ago.
If you call in, they state it’s due to a malfunctioning under ground line
At 25th on 800 block. Power back.
No power here still. Near RCH
Xfinity internet is down in Jefferson Park area. Our home wifi router works fine but the internet cable entering the residence that connects to our router has no signal. Not sure if it is related to no electricity. Presently using ATT phone as hotspot
Finally got mine back!! 26th
When it went out this morning around 6a it woke me up. Decided to do a quick post from my phone, while still 1/2 asleep, and in bed after I talked to Dominion. I guess the QC part of my brain was still dreaming…. and apparently about sex talk lines. Hahaha.
It’s kinda funny
CVS and Farm Fresh are now open
