Get set for the Rocketts Landing Run to the River
Lace up your sneakers and come out this Saturday, Oct. 17, at 9:30AM for the Rocketts Landing Run to the River. Whether you choose the 10K Hill Run (affectionately called the “Beast of the East”), the easy 5K walk, or the kids’ 1K Fun Run, you’ll be helping Fulton’s wonderful Neighborhood Resource Center.
Run to the River is the NRC’s most important fundraiser of the year. All event proceeds directly support the NRC, a grassroots, nonprofit community center which provides quality resources and programs to families living in the East End with limited means. Programs include tutoring, Montessori preschool, after school programs, art, music, and GED classes, adult Tai Chi and yoga, and more.
How you can help:
- Make a donation
- Register for the walk, run or kids’ run
- Cheer on the runners at the Halfway Party at Libby Hill Park, under the Soldiers & Sailors Monument (Sat 9:30am)
- Spread the word

Great run in spite of the weather. I think everyone had a good time, runners and volunteers alike.
