The agenda for the February 6 meeting of the City of Richmond Planning Commission (PDF) includes a few items of local interest:
Ord. No 2012-7: To conditionally rezone the properties known as 1904 and 1905 Cedar Street from the R-53 Multifamily Residential Zoning District to the R-63 Multifamily Urban Residential Zoning District (Conditional), upon certain proffered conditions.
Resolution: To adopt amendments to the City’s 2000-2020 Master Plan for the Nine Mile Road corridor.
January 17, or February 17?
Dang – sorry about that:
the meeting is Monday FEB 6 at 1:30PM
Government’s new role: Tastemaker (Richmond BizSense 2/28)

The reporter got it wrong. The city didn’t make Hunt agree to not to use vinyl siding. That was one of the proffers Hunt agreed in exchange for support from Union Hill residents in his request for re-zoning from R53 to R63.
Just got a call from the reporter on this story. BizSense has changed the headline to reflect the fact that the Planning Comm didn’t just arbitrarily decide to restrict finishing materials.
