So, who exactly are the officers of the CHA now? I see Whitworth is still there.
Yeah, what happened during the meeting right after the resignations?
Until tonight’s vote, there are three Board members: Mark Bausch, Karen Jones, and John Whitworth.
Absolutely shameful. Business in Church Hill got set back 20 years tonight.
Here’s hoping the assholes who screwed Bob over see their property values hit the levels they were before Bob after he finds a better place to run his business. Not one mention of what Bob has done to improve all of our property values by being a pioneer business.
One request – could whoever shared the zillow analysis at the meeting please post a summary of that on here? It sounds like it was hilarious.
Alex, pioneer restaurants in our area are The Hill Cafe, Poe’s Pub, Millie’s Diner, Mr.Patrick Henry’s, & The Twenty-three Hundred Club. I didn’t realize Buzzy’s was the only reason for our existence as a neighborhood. Are you going to condemn the neighborhood for the failure of Buffington’s, too?
@6 – no I’m not planning to defend Buffington’s. Interesting that your list includes a couple that aren’t even on the Hill and a private club. I think that’s telling of how Bob’s neighbors would like their businesses. And that it’s fine for them to go over to other blocks and drink.
Can someone explain to me why, if Bob hasn’t been good for property values, I’ve seen realtors mentioning “walk to Buzzy’s” in listings. I guess nobody knows less about real estate values than them.
Your property values all fell by 50 pieces of silver last night.
I’m still hoping the SUP will be approved by city council. I can’t imagine that anyone will take that crazy meeting and its subsequent vote seriously.
#7-Those restaurants mentioned in my comment are within walking distance of plenty of folks in our neighborhood and they’ve been in business 20 years more or less, depending on which one you want to focus on. Ownership of some have changed through the years, except Millie’s, and the owners of these establishments live in the neighborhood, though I wouldn’t know about the Club.
I don’t like wasting my money on misrepresented product and product availability that fluctuates daily, along with pricing. I’ll walk down the Hill to Globehopper or Starbucks, I’m not such a smug Church Hill elitist that I can’t step out of my own neighborhood.
If you didn’t participate in the process, discussions, attend the meetings, hear the open debate and ultimately vote, ( pro or con), your postings now after the fact – are mere asides.
