From the city:

The Department of Public Works is implementing a temporary city- wide change in solid waste collection due to the street closures that will be in place during the UCI Road World Championships.

City residents are advised they can continue to put out supercans after 4 p.m. the day ahead of scheduled collection days. However, all supercans must be out no later than 2 a.m. on collection days beginning Monday, September 21 through Thursday, September 24.

The street closures the city has planned for the UCI Road World Championships are what is impacting the time trash will be picked-up. Because of the road closure times, solid waste collection will begin at 2 a.m., instead of 6 a.m. over the four-day period.

Solid waste pick-up will return to its regular schedule on Monday, September 28.
