Dog euthanized due to suspected dog fighting injuries
12/11/2015 5:53 PM by John M
From Richmond Animal Care and Control:
I need your help.
We picked this dog up off of X Street in Church Hill and took him straight to VESC for evaluation. His injuries are suspect to dog fighting and were so advanced that he had to be euthanized.
We are moving forward with a full investigation and have a few tips but need more. We want to find the person (or persons) responsible and we need your help. Please share this post and call us at 646-5573 with any information- you can remain anonymous. Additionally, HSUS offers a $5,000 reward for any info that results in a conviction in the link below.

This dog is standing up and requires “euthanasia”? These pictures do not match up with the narrative RACC is presenting.
My wife told me that the dog had serious internal injuries.
It’s been a rough week for dogs on the hill.
Oh John… Is there.. is there any way you could not have that awful picture on the front page? I know it’s what happened, but it makes me want to cry and vomit all at once. 🙁
Katherine @ 8. There are officers and organizations that deal specifically with dog fighting and cock fighting, often working undercover. Call these folks and ask them what to do next time you see him – even the smallest tip may help. http://www.vaanimalfighting.com/Home.html and 1-877-TIP-HSUS
I can’t believe people live in the area and don’t do something about this! It’s your neighborhood too. Stand up and call local authorities when you see something not right. Don’t be scared all you do is make a phone call you have to be their voice and change things. Please don’t let evil people rule places or animals. There are enough good people in this world and if we all ban together to change things it can be done!
