Council approves BRT, could be running by October 2017

Ned Oliver has the wrap-up on City Council’s vote last in favor of Bus Rapid Transit (AKA GRTC’s The Pulse). Councilwoman Newbille was one of the 7 Council members to vote “yes” (Samuels “no”, Trammel abstained).

It is worth noting that none of the members of RVA Coalition of Smart Transit, the main opposition group, are located in the East End.
