Can you donate towards Vertical Tower Gardens for Armstrong?
Duran Chavis has launched a fundraiser to put Vertical Tower Gardens in Armstrong HS and George Wythe HS. This is one of those special opportunities to give direct support to an organization doing good work, in a way where every dollar is put to good use.
Indoor vertical farming conserves water and can produce more food in less space than traditional outdoor farming. We want to introduce vertical aeroponic farming to students while also giving them the opportunity to grow food all year round to address food insecurity in their respective communities. The Tower Garden serves as an excellent vehicle to do that while also teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). We have developed an associated curriculum that teaches critical thinking, food systems and that addresses a number of components of the Next Generation Science Standards.

We aren’t looking to pay staff or marketing or anything like that. We just need funding to purchase Tower Gardens for the schools. Our organization already has staff in schools teaching urban gardening and culinary arts. Your investment will allow us to take this effort to the next level through indoor farming.
